The Artistry of Heather Ochsner-Prince
Heather Ochsner-Prince…My Story

I started my career as a Behavioral Therapist for Autism Comprehensive Educational Services in southern California. For over five years, I worked with many children and parents in home environments to teach, instruct and guide families with special needs children.
I was diagnosed in 2008 with late-stage Lyme disease. Within the subsequent five years, I was forced to stop working to treat the many debilitating symptoms. Via PICC line, I received intravenous antibiotics on two separate occasions. I also pursued a number of holistic treatments and Lyme-literate doctors from California to Georgia. I was rendered nearly immobile during treatment, the pain and side-effects were incredibly severe. During this difficult time I found inspiration to paint and use art as a creative and cathartic outlet. Through my art I was able to share my emotions, my passion for life and my determination to survive and thrive once again.
In 2011 I created Heather's Healing Hobbies, an independent, not-for-profit organization. My goal was to produce custom works of art in exchange for donations so I could continue with treatment. This became a big part in my ability to tell my story and heal.
On February 1, 2013, I was official cleared of all Lyme and Co-infections. A PCR test showed infections were no longer imprinted on my DNA. I still suffer at times from effects that cannot be reversed due to the impact the infections placed on my body. Through everything though, I have continued to create art and I hope to help others in the process. In July 2013, Heather's Healing Hobbies Charity Fund began to support others who could not afford treatment., so that a Lyme sufferer could be given the opportunity to receive proper care and become a Lyme survivor. I can not wait to see this grow and continue to help the Lyme community.

Dream Traveler in Honor of Jeremiah Katches
"Dream Traveler" was inspired and created in honor of Jeremiah Katches. I did not know Jeremiah personally, but we shared many commonalities. We both used our passion for art to help ease the difficulties of our debilitating illness, Lyme Disease. Jeremiah's art and attitude towards life helped so many people during his journey. Although his physical body is no longer with us, his art and love of life will always remain. Jeremiah is our "Dream Traveler".
All proceeds after costs from the purchase of "Dream Traveler" will be donated to Inanna House! I will offer a total of 300 prints and sign them as well. You can donate to purchase a print by contacting Inanna House, or by contacting me through my website.
